Fire works on Holiday

Every Independence Day there is a show with celebrities and fireworks. I actually planned to go to Staten Island and make some nice shots from there. However they stopped the Ferries for 3hours because of the Fireworks, I missed the last Ferry before the show by 10min, oh well. After seeing the show - I'm not sure if I would have seen anything from the Island anyway. I joined the crowd at the Hudson.

I was already warned before that I should not expect too much of the show... During half an hour a lot of rockets were launched - but the crew had no imagination. You didn't even have to look, where the next colorful flower would be painted in the sky... Different rocket, same spot in the sky... as exciting as fireworks on television... Which is really sad, because the location is great - but honestly, this show can't keep up with our fireworks after the Klangwolke!
