There is NO Line like the Highline

This evening I was going out to see Matt & Kim at the Hudson River on Pier 54. The event was free, I guess the place is a public spot - but there is no way to get in without standing in a long line and getting your bag checked. How could I expect otherwise, I should have remembered on which side of the Atlantic I am...


I'm a bit fed up by all the standing around and showing the ID and checking the bags at every possible or impossible occasion - so I decided to check out the new highline park instead.
This park was a former highline of the subway system and has been modified to an oasis on the 3rd floor with trees, flowers, benches,...
I made a lot of shots in the warm evening light, I totally enjoyed it up there, and I could still listen to the music coming from pier 54 - great spot.
